Come paint in the Jackson County area for the Jackson Art Association’s first annual ‘Jackson Plein Air’ event!
Come join fellow artists, beginners, and professionals as we paint the beauty in the Jackson area. Prizes will total $3,200+.
Check-in for the event will be on Wednesday (Sept. 23rd) through Friday (Sept. 25th) from 7:30 am – 10:30 am and 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on “The Patio” at Ella Sharp Museum. Upon checking in, your canvas/paper will be stamped for verification upon submission.
All submitted artwork must be completed during the event, canvas/paper stamped at registration, verified when delivered, and must be available for sale. All artwork must be completed from life by the artist- no mechanical or photographic assistance.

- Registration Deadline: August 31st, 2026 (unless capacity is met prior)
- Check-In: Wednesday (Sept. 23rd) through Friday (Sept. 25th) from 7:30am-10:30am and 3:00pm-7:00pm at “The Patio” at Ella Sharp Museum.
- Submission Deadline: Any time during check-in, but the last time to turn in submissions will be on Saturday, September 26th, from 10am-1pm.
- Reception: Sat. (Sept.26th) from 4-8pm
- Judging: Sat. (Sept 26th) from 4-5:30pm
- Sales: Runs from 4-8pm, paintings cannot be removed until after winners are announced and photographs are taken. (25% of proceeds go to JAA)
